Easy Breathe

Mechanical Division

Electronic masks on the market can be distracting, uncomfortable, and an inconvenience for workers in the medical field. The Easy-Breathe mask solves these issues as it is comfortable and undistracting to medical workers. The mechanical team is in charge of the design and fabrication of the physical interface. There are three parts to the Easy-Breathe mask: the electronic enclosure, the tube, and the mask. The mask used is a respirator mask, with an N95 filter. The tube connects the mask to the electronic enclosure; the enclosure of the device holds the necessary electronics: the fan, the PCB, and the battery. These components fit snugly into the enclosure and have holes for the buttons and LEDs for the user to interact with. The enclosure is attached to the worker’s waist using a belt.
